Summary：The "Eleventh Five-Year" power grid development plan formulated by the State Grid Corporation of China shows that the company's total investment in power grid construction will reach about 850 billion yuan, and the total investment nationwide will exceed 1 trillion yuan. A new round of large power grid and big city network construction and transformation, and set off a new round of wire and cable industry expansion climax. During the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, the State Grid Corporation of China will add 60000 kilometers of 330kV and above transmission lines and 0.3 billion KVA of substation capacity. China Southern Power Grid will plan to build and put into operation 500kV AC line 15651km substation capacity 61.75 million KVA;
　　国家电网公司制定的"十一五"电网发展规划显示，公司在电网建设上的总投资将达到8500亿元左右，全国的总投资将超过1万亿元。新一轮大电网和大城网建设与改造，又掀起新一轮电线电缆行业扩张高潮。全国各地还在上马中高压交联电缆生产线。
 
　　"十一五"期间国家电网公司将新增330kV及以上输电线路6万公里、变电容量3亿KVA。南方电网将规划建成投产500kV交流线路15651km变电容量6175万KVA;建成投产500kV直流线路1225km输电规模300万KW;建成投产800kV直流线路1438km输电规模500万KW。
 
　　我国未来5年主干网建设规模大幅增加。国家电网公司打算近两年内建成两条特高压输变电工程一是晋东南-南阳-荆门的交流工程；另外一条是云南昭通-广西桂林-广东惠东1000kV交流输变电工程。据专家预计，到2020年特高压及跨区电网的输送容量将为2.1亿KW，其中800kW直流约5600万KW，另外约1.5亿KW由交流构成。到2020年特高压交流加直流的市场一共是4060亿元，其中交流为2560亿元，直流为1500亿元。
 
　　有评论说，全国电线电缆行业中十大电线电缆生产企业的产值总和仅占全行业的10%左右，产业集中度较低，规模经济不够，产品结构性矛盾突出。电线电缆行业受铜、铝涨价影响较大。我国原材料占电线电缆总成本的80%左右，目前面临着原材料铜和铝的大幅上涨，电线电缆行业谈判能力非常弱。
 
　　由于我国城市电网建设投入严重不足，导致大多城市电网结构非常薄弱，电网老化现象异常严重。根据国家电网公司"十一五"规划，本期 31个省会级城市和计划单列市城网建设改造计划投资额超过4000亿元；南方电网投资额将占到国家电网的1/4左右，两者相加总投资规模约有5000亿 元，年均投资额超过1000亿元。
 
　　大城市电网建设，需要数万公里中高压交联电缆，因此，有经济实力的电缆企业又在筹划上马中高压交联电缆以扩大产能，甚至还在建设500kV交联VCV生产线。
